Our poster for the Netherlands conference has different dimensions
compared to the Australian conference. The new poster dimensions are 1
meter wide and 2 meters tall. That seems odd to me to have it so tall and
narrow. I got some new images of the rhizodont jaw from Scott Myers.
Hopefully, we can get some new images of the other prepared specimens from
Glenn or Bill. I would like to get photos of the lungfish and the
tetrapods. The text is the same as for the Australian poster unless you all
have something to add. Glenn mentioned adding something about the
temnospondyl in his last e-mail. And Steve mentioned organic shale results.
I leave August 1 so we'll have to be done before then.
Steve, Frank wants us to help him with a poster too. His is on
Carboniferous crinoids. Thanks,

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm working on a George Curtis Chesnsutt born Al
13 sep 1991..died Jan 1973 in Montgomery, AL. Married Lottie Young abt
1918. Children were Lottie Mae b Feb 25 1929; Mary Ekiz b abt 1926; Annie
Lauria b aft 1930, Geo Curtis b abt 1920 and Robert H b abt 1925...All AL.
The fact that you have Curtis for a middle name makes me wonder if they
might be connected. I found a Geo C Chesnutt in the 1910 and 1900 AL
census. He had a son Geo C in 1900 and a son Curtis in 1910.....Think that
this may be my man. Wonder if he could be bro of Wm Henry? Casey

My husband's Chesnutt's appeared in Tuscaloosa County AL
in 1840-50. His great grandfather was Charles Curtis
Chesnutt born Feb 24, 1887. Brothers Henry born May 1877,
Nathan born 1879, sister Mary born May 1880. I have never
been able to trace back past Charles' father, William Henry
Chesnutt who first appeared in Tuscaloosa from SC in late
1840's. Maybe there is some relation between ours, I don't
know. If you have any information you think would be
relevant to a connection, I would love to hear from you.

According to some publications on Chesnut genealogy, the Sarsfield surname
plays a role in Chesnut origins. However, most of the Sarsfields were
Catholic Irish and most of the Chesnut/Chestnuts were Protestant in
Northern Ireland. Nevertheless, Rootsweb announced the following site in
case anyone wants to investigate this possible connection...
SARSFIELD. "A Brief Sarsfield Family History," co-written by
Norman Sarsfield and Brian Sarsfield, is about the two main Sarsfield
families in Ireland from the mid-12th century up to modern times.
It concerns the Sarsfields of the Dublin and Cork (Viscounts of
Kilmallock) lines and includes several references to Patrick Sarsfield,
the 1st Earl of Lucan and an Irish national hero. It could be of
special interest to anyone with a Sarsfield connection in their own line
even though it may not be to one of these families, and also to anyone
with an interest in the Williamite/Jacobite wars at the end of the 17th
century, in which Patrick Sarsfield, 1st Earl of Lucan, played a
significant part.

I would like to receive the list.
Thanks.

Dear list
The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland has recently made available a
database of those who signed the Ulster Covenant in 1912. Signing indicated
opposition to devolved government in Ireland. The data available is Name,
Place of Residence, Parliamentary constituency, Place of signing and the
signing superintendent.
I have collected all the data for CHESNUT/CHESNUTT/CHESTNUT/CHESTNUTT -
there are 48 entries in total and would be pleased to forward the text file
(9KB) to any who ask.
Images of the original data are available free at
