I notice you have a Jennie Lee Chesnut below. I'm curious - I have Jennie
Chestnut born 1765 in Augusta Co., Va. who married William Palmer II Jan 12,
1790 in Augusta Co., Va.
Chestnut was spelled Chesnut also. I have been called Lee since I was 13.
Are you in any way connected to my Jennie?
Lee Anderson

Hello Molly - I have a copy of a picture that is labled "Elisha Chesnut &
Adaline Douglas" which I believe are my Great-Great-Great-Grandparents. I
haven't been able to verify this yet however. Would you like me to email you
a copy of the picture I have? Would you happen to know their children's
names (or have any documentation of their children)? My
Great-Great-Grandfather is Isaac Harvey Chesnut - is he one of their
children?
Thanks for any help you can give - Tami Chesnut IMATAMI(a)aol.com

Excerpts from The Mt. Echo 1904 (London, Laurel Co., KY)
MARCH 4, 1904
Word was received by Mr. Rowd Hardin, of Fariston, at nine o'clock Monday
night, that John Y. Chesnut, who left here about twenty six years ago for
Washington and who had since made his home there was dead. Mr. Chesnut was a
brother of Mrs. Lucy Hardin, of Fariston. Mrs. J. H. Carrier deceased, and
Mrs. W. E. Graves, of Livingston. The many friends will be sad to learn of
his death, which was caused by pneumonia.
