Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Greetings,
Many of you are now aware that most of rootsweb's e-mail lists got spammed
by a company advertising an adult website. Rootsweb has gone to a great
deal of effort to build filters to try to block out the spammers, but
occasionally one gets through. Please be aware that none of our members
sent this advertisement.

Per the June 22, 1998 post to this list William Chesnut the husband of
Elizabeth Cornett was born on March 5, 1811 died Jan. 29, 1893 on the same
farm where he was born. Does anyone know the location of William and
Elizabeth "Betsy" Cornett Chesnut's graves?

FEBRUARY 17, 1893
Bro. William Chesnut was born March 5th, 1811 and died Jan. 29, 1893, being 82
years old. He was born on the same farm where he died. He married Betsy
Cornett who still survives him. They had born unto them nine children, all of
who are living, the youngest being forty-four years old. Brother Chesnut was
a member of the Baptist Church.
Hello, I'm trying to find the parents of Charles Chesnutt-born: about
1720 in Isle of Wight Co., Virginia. I have a couple of leads on a John
Chesnutt and Marth (Betsy)Chesnutt as being his parents, but I have not
been able to substanciate this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Here I am sitting in Decatur, GA, wondering where all of us are, and I find
you on the web. Shouldn't be too surprising, I guess. Yes, I'd like to
subscribe to your list. I'm currently working on a play script regarding
Mary Boykin Chesnut and am extremely thirsty for information from any and
all family members who might have some. Since it's been a while since I
was last in South Carolina, and I know I'll be making a trip soon, perhaps
you could tell me of some family hideouts where I might gather some
information. I know Camden and Mulberry and Kumchatka, but would
appreciate any other info that's out there.
Thanks and be well!
