Don,
I sent this information directly to Mike, but thought someone else might be

Your information on Levi Abraham was more complete than mine. Thanks!
I am the grandaughter of Suzanna (Anna) & Quince Hardesty. I have more
information if you would like it. I am also VERY INTERESTED in your photos
of Abraham & Sarah, John David & James. If your are willing to copy and
send I will gladly reimburse you any expense. How do you fit in the
lineage? I have never know my Chesnut relations so would be delighted to
meet a cousin. Will be waiting to hear from you. I typed this rather
quickly. Feel free to question anything that looks odd.

Chesnutt family. Polly Mary Chesnutt married Frederick Rackley (my
gggggrandfather. Her parents were Joshua Chesnutt Jr. and Patty _____
Chesnutt.
Annie provided info.back to Alexander Chesnutt - died 1690.
Do you have any further?

Send Your Feelings and Comments To FCC At < "isp(a)fcc.gov" >
Forwarded by Louise A. Flood <pwrchair(a)ocsonline.com>
Just a quick but important message concerning E-Mail. This is to inform you
of a very important matter currently under review by the FCC.
Your local telephone company has filed a proposal with the FCC to impose
per minute charges for your internet service. They contend that your
usage has, or will, hinder the operation of the telephone network.
E-Mail, in my opinion will diminish dramatically if users were required
to pay additional per minute charges. The FCC has created a E-Mail box
for your comments, responses must be received by February 13, 1998. Send
your comments to "isp(a)fcc.gov" tell them what you think. Every phone
company is in on this one, and they are trying to sneak it in just under
the wire for litigation. Let everyone you know hear this one. Get E_Mail
addresses to everyone you can think of.
Forward this to your E_Mail friends and ask them to write to the FCC at the
above address.
We all must write and send to everyone we know to write also. We don't want
or need extra charges for email.

I feel that we pay the phone companies plenty, and I think this is just a
ploy so that the phone companies will not have to upgrade our unfit, worn
down phone lines. I also think that they feel threatened that we're not
making phone calls anymore because of e-mail, which in my opinion, is a
crock. Let's get out comments to the FCC so that this stupidity is
stopped! Who knows too, maybe this is a break that I-Link can use since
they're trying to get that $20/month voice phone plan (long distance) going
on anyway... =)

EXCERPTS from the MOUNTAIN ECHO 1890 August 22 [London, Laurel Co., KY]
A dispatch from Burnside [Pulaski Co.] says there was a fight between the
police judge and town marshal on one side and Ben Chesnut and his two sons,
John and Hiram, on the other. There was an old feud between P. F. Smith,
the police judge and Ben Chesnut. Chesnut said when Smith was elected that
he would never submit to arrest under warrant from him. Monday John Chesnut
was arrested and gave bond. His father caused his bondsmen to surrender him
and then with his son Hiram, started to take John Away from Marshal Coomer
and Judge Smith. In the fight that followed John Chesnut and Judge Smith
received several wounds, but Smith is not dangerously hurt. The Chesnuts
have long presecuted Smith in very cowardly ways, such as shooting at his
house at night, wounding his stock, &c. John Chesnut died from effect of
his wounds.
