Subject: [Antrim] Junkins
Does anyone have information on this family:
Samuel Junkin b. 1753 in County Antrim whose father and grandfather were
also Samuel. He married Mary Mc Cartney in Ireland and died 1816 in Larne,
County Antrim. His siblings were: William, Margaret, Catherine, Mary and
Agnes Junkin, all of whom (except Catherine) were known to have immigrated
from County Antrim, Ireland to South Carolina through the port of Charleston
in the 1820¹s. From the records I have accumulated, the issue of Samuel
Junkin and Mary McCartney who immigrated to South Carolina were named
Robert., Samuel, David, William, Jennet, Ann and James Junkin.
thanks.
Pat
