8-8-1882 Linn Co. Or. Died 11-25-1960 in San Diego, Ca. There was a foster
child name
Harriett they called Hattie that lived with the Chesney's. My Grandmother
Flora told
me her mother Nancy Jane had a sister, I don't remember her first name, was
the mother of William Gibbs Mcadoo, the United States Senator and Secretary
of the
Treasury under President Woodrow Wilson. When Nancy Jane's mother died in
Scotland, William went to Scotland to settle the estate for them and he
confiscated
with their inheritance. No one to this day knows what he did with it. I would
appreciate any information that anyone may have. Maybe there is a Chesney out
there that can connect to the Gibbs story.
Thank you
