On my Chesney notes, I have William Chesney was born abt 1710 in
Balttimore, MD---- his family from Ireland in the early 1700's (I don't
have his parents name). I would like to try and find out the parents
name, how do I do this??? Anne
My connection to the Chesney line is distant. My ancestor is Charles
Brandon, who was married to Sarah Cook, daughter of Sarah Fulton Cook,
sister of Jane Fulton who was married to Alexander Chesney. If anyone
notices mistakes in my information, please let me know.

Several months ago my mailbox filled up while I was in TX for my dad's
funeral. When I got back, I had been kicked off some of my genealogy email
groups because too much mail had bounced back to the sender. When I finally
got back on them all, I realized that I had missed something about Terri.
And although I wanted to inquire, I didn't have the energy to do so.
Anyway, what happened? Is she still with us? She and I are in the same
branch of the Chesneys, but I have never heard of "William of Clonken". I
thought I was as far back as possible without going to Ireland. I would
love for someone to post this info. Thanks, Pat Riley
(Alexander>Robert>Elizabeth m. John Crownover)
PS. William of CLONKEN??? Sounds like a German to me! LOL
OK folks, here's something to get some conversation started. Because a lot
of us descend from CHESNEYs in Ireland, there's a good chance that several
people are duplicating each other's research efforts. Is it possible via
this list to compile info? I'm thinking maybe anyone who has ANYTHING about
Irish connections, come on and post it!
If you combed through an entire census or tax list for every CHESNEY (bless
you!), tell us which census, where, and maybe who were the heads of CHESNEY
families. If you have old pictures, letters, or a Bible with unidentified
Irish CHESNEYs, give us the details. If you know CHESNEYs who emigrated
from Ireland -- to anywhere! -- let us know.
Those of us who used to receive Terri's e-newsletter know that she fit many

Hello "family"
Please welcome Connie, a new member to our list -- she's in my Chesney
line (and all those on the list who share my genesis). I've got one more
who contacted me recently, and am trying to get her signed on as well.
Both of these relatives found me via some of my genealogy web pages
posted on various services -- just shows you it pays to get your family
trees online.
What's happening with you all's Chesney research? Anything new?
Linda
