What I have found is that Albert was the son of Eleazer Chesley and Ann Smith. Eleazer and Ann lived in Enfield, Grafton County, NH and probably died there. In the 1850 census, Eleazer and Ann had the following children: Hannah 23, Sarah 22, Louisa 18, Ruth 16 and Eleazer 13. If anyone has any info on this family please let me know.
Peace,
James Lane

Dear Tina,
I checked the Chesley info that I have and did not find any direct connection. What can offer is two Town histories that may be of help. "History of Barnstead 1720-1872" by Jeremiah P Jewett M.D., published in 1872. The second is "History of the Town of Durham", in two volumes, by Everett Stackpole and Winthrop S Meserve. The Durham book has extensive Chesley genealogy and the extent of the Barnstead Chesley genealogy is unknown. Sorry I could not be of more assistance.
Peace,
James Lane

I have a ggggg grandfather Jonathan Chesley from Barnstead/Durham NH, wife Phebe (West). I show their boys George and Jehiel born in Vermont 1810 and 1813. They then moved to Seneca County, NY Town of Waterloo I find them in records here late 1830's early 1840's. Do you have any dates that we could make a connection? Jonathan was born about 1785 and was a veteran of the war of 1812.
