Remembering James Thomas GASKILL died on 03 May 1916. Buried La Brique
Albert GASKILL died 27 Nov 1918 buried Nivelles, Belgium
James and Albert were the sons of James Thomas GASKILL and Margaret
Elizabeth nee Whitaker of Disley.
In October 1916 a tribunal was held at the Wycliffe Church Hall in Disley to
hear appeals against being called up. Frank Gaskill, brother of James &
Albert gave his reasons not to be called up as the fact that he was in a
reserved occupation and that he was maintaining his widowed mother as his
brothers were already serving.
