Stonington and Wildey's Genealogy of the Descendants of William Chesebrough.

Looking for the parents of Desire FRINK. She married 13 November 1763,
Prentice FRINK, the son of Benjamin FRINK and Tacy Lucy BURDICK. Prentice
was born 31 July 1741, Stonington, Conn. Is Desire the daughter of Samuel
FRINK and Mary STANTON, born 14 February 1744? I am also looking for any
information on Prentice and Desire FRINK's children. Did they have a
Betsey FRINK who married John CHESEBROUGH, the son of Jedediah CHESEBROUGH
and Rebecca SLACK?

Hi Cheryl,
Elisha was born 1637...a son of William (the immigrant) and a brother to my
direct ancestor, Samuel. If you can hang on a few days I'll dig up all the
data I have for him. Right now I'm only a couple hours from a 20 hour road
trip to the first ever family reunion on my father's side of the family.
Otherwise, you will probably find a lot of info on Larry Chesebro's site.
Of all the Chesebrough cousins (that I know), he has done the most
extensive work on the tree.
Just to make things interesting today... Rebecca Palmers' sister, Grace,
married Thomas Minor. Her grand daughter, Hannah Minor, married Elihu
Chesebrough, one of Elisha and Rebecca's sons.
For now,

We need some action on this list!
Have a great day!

Greetings,
I just wanted to quickly ask if it will be okay to ask questions about
family whose name falls under different spellings. Ex: C h e e s e b r o u
g h, C h e s e b r o, C h e e s e b o r o u g h, etc.
Just wanted to check before posting so that I don't break any rules here.
Thank you kindly,
Melissa

Hi Larry.....
How are you? Hope you are well....and the same to all of the other listers.
I have to be persistant....I can't get anywhere on my
Alva/Alvie/Alvin....whoever he is. I ordered a death certificate from
Albany, NY with NO death date given (since I don't know it)....it came back
"could not locate, death uncertified". HELPPPPPPP!!!!!
Someone must know who he is. He was the son of somebody.....but who?
This particular Alva was born in Michigan....
His sister Josephine was born in Ohio......
Josephine married a Sanford PHILLIPS and lived in Palmyra, Wayne County, NY.
She died by 1900. Josephine was adopted by her mothers second husband,
Monroe Allen....so she may have never gone by the name of Chesebro/Cheesbro.
Another WHO KNOWS!
Their mother came back to Madison county, New York in 1855 when Josephine was
only an infant. Where did Alva/Alvie/Alvin go? He was not ever listed on a
census with her. I have checked them all during the life of Angeline. She
was also listed as a widow on the census in 1860. And in later census films
it states that Angeline was married twice. So there has to be an UNKNOWN
CHESEBRO/CHEESBRO man who passed away (maybe) in 1854-55 or so quite possilby
in Ohio or Michigan. Was he from Madison County, NY originally? That is
where Sarah Angeline Orcutt was from 1834 to 1850 and then from 1855 until
her death in 1905.
So my delimma continues .....and any help I can get would be greatly
appreciated. I post periodically b/c I'm sure we have new people join the
list on a regular basis.....and I want my Alvie found!
I hope you have a great night and thanks for writing!
Jo Dee
Hi Jo Dee,
I really have to hand it to you. Your persistence will pay off!
I see some minor changes and additions you have found and have so updated my
