Looking for ALVA E. CHESEBRO, born November 1852 in Michigan. Soon after
moved to Town of Sullivan, Madison County, New York.
1900 NY FEDERAL CENSUS: Living in Sullivan, Madison County, New York. He
was widowed and living with him was a BESSIE SHONEDER/SHROUDER(sp?, unclear).
She was his housekeeper, born in July 1879.
1905 NY STATE CENSUS: Living in Sullivan, Madison County, New York, age 53.
This time he was married to BESSIE J., age 24, with daughter OLIVE B., age 2.
On the 1905 census two pages away from ALVA E. CHESEBRO was an ANNA M.
CHESEBRO, age 26, house servant (possible daughter to Alva and his first
unknown wife).
I am looking for the parents to this ALVA CHESEBRO. The ALVA CHESEBRO that I
am searching for has a sister named JOSEPHINE or HARRIET (or HARRIET
JOSEPHINE). She went by the surnames of ORCUTT in the 1860 census and was
adopted by MONROE ALLEN in the 1860's. She was born in OHIO. Her mother
Sarah Angeline ORCUTT CHESEBRO ALLEN was born and raised in STOCKBRIDGE,
MADISON COUNTY, NEW YORK. Later moving to or around Ohio and possibly
Michigan, then
back to New York after the birth of Josephine Harriet/Harriet Josephine.
Angeline was widowed by 1860 and I am trying to find who her UNKNOWN CHESEBRO
husband (father to two of her children) was.
Any connections or ideas?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
