My mother was Artemise Cherry born in Amesbury MA. Her mother's name was Mary and I know there were several children in the family. I remember the names of Mary (married James Wall) Joseph died as a young man and Moses lived in the family home, I believe, and was the only uncle I knew. I remember my mother saying her father was French Canadian and the name was originally Lemerise. I was the youngest in my family, so did not know many of these people. Just happened to find your posting.
