Need more information on whose parents Stephen M. Brown and Mary A. Cherry came from. Stephen M. Brown was born Aug. 1847, Michigan and Mary A. Cherry was born May 1858, Illinois. Their son, David Goliath Brown was born August 24, 1897, DeWitt, Saline County, Nebraska. Other children were Roy Brown, b. Feb. 1884, SP Brown, b. Jan. 1889, Elmer D. Brown, b. Nov. 1891 and A. Glenn Brown, b. July 1894. Stephen M. and Mary A. were married around 1882 in Dewitt, Saline Co. Nebraska, moved to Oklahoma in 1910 and then to Wichita in 1920 and were believed to die between 1925 and 1930. Hope anyone finds this right match and share with me. Thanks

I've just changed my e-mail to robertajestes(a)att.net. I've had months of issues with Comcast that they were unable to resolve, so the change, though difficult, was necessary. Please update your records.
I also have two alternate e-mail addresses that you can use if you ever experience bounced e-mails using my primary e-mail and those are:
Bobbi48114(a)yahoo.com
Roberta(a)dnaexplain.com
Also, the Lost Colony DNA and Research Web site is http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~molcgdrg/. We are not affiliated with any other group. This group was formed in 2007. Take a look at our site, we've made some great headway.
I'm trying to catch all my old messages, so if you receive this more than once, please forgive the inconvenience.
Thanks so much,
Roberta Estes

I found some more in my local library. In the Reese Family Cemetery (Hopewell Cemetery) in Chambers Co. AL, is buried:
"Dr. James E. Cherry; 12/13/1811-11/7/1889; B. Pendeleton District SC; d. West Point, GA". I'm not sure about the middle initial, but this has to be the James A. Cherry I am seeking. Another bit of info. comes from the 1847 Will of Susannah Story, of Chambers Co. AL. It references her niece, "Mary E. Cherry, wife of Dr. James A. Cherry." None of the US Census records for Chambers Co. AL 1840-1880 indicates James was a doctor. However, an obscure reference I have of him traveling w/Lee's army in June 1863, cites the civilian as "Dr. Cherry". Would like to know more about Dr. Cherry's experiences of June 1863, following his sons' journey into Pennsylvania and the battle of Gettysburg.

I'm no relation. I'm a Civil War researcher hunting down a mystery. I have references to a "Mr. Cherry" traveling with Lee's army on its way to Gettysburg, PA in 1863. A second clue indicated "Mr. Cherry" had sons in the 4th Georgia Infantry. The only soldiers in the 4th GA named Cherry were in Company D, from West Point, GA. You've been most helpful. Thanks again !
