Altoona Mirror 28 MAY 1926.
In loving remembrance of our dear Eldred (Whitesel) Cherry who departed this life one year ago today, May 27, 1926.
Gone is the face we loved so dear,
Gone is the voice we loved to hear.
It is sad, but true - I wonder why
The best of us is first to die.
God in His mercy thought it best
To take dear Eldred home to rest.
Gone but not forgotten by her CHILD FREDA MAXINE AND MR. AND MRS. WHITESEL, SISTER, BROTHER AND GRANDMOTHER.
Altoona Mirror 27 MAY 1927.

I'm looking for any information about my uncle, Edward Cherry, born c1907 Acton. Middlesex. His mother was Ellen Jane Fitzjohn nee Cherry, he was the step-son of Thomas Fitzjohn (ref:1911 census were they lived in Wandsworth). Ellen Jane died 1921 and Edward and his three brothers are believed to have been taken in by Barnardos Homes but I don't know which one or where.
