Re: [CHERRY] Cherry line from NC
by Gaila & James Merrington
Hello
I descend from William Cherry born in 1804,North Carolina; migrated to
Georgia and married Edna Perrin Heard 25 Oct 1842 in Bibb County, Ga and
died in Houston County, Ga in 1863.
We believe he had at least two brothers: Spencer Cherry and Riley Cherry.
There are other Cherry families in nearby Bibb County, but we aren't sure if
we are connected.
William and Edna (Edney) had children:
Andrew D 9 Oct 1843
Wiley Franklin 21 Oct 1846
James Raleigh 22 April 1848 (James was Edna's father's name)
Cornelia Angeline 17 March 1850
Jacob Lonza 22 Feb 1854 (named for ancestor Jacob Foreman)
Emma Edna 10 March 1854 (named for Heard ancestors)
William Thomas 10 April 1858 (for William)
Robert Hanes 17 April 1862
Does anyone recognise these names or heard of an Andrew Cherry in North
Carolina?
Thanks
Gaila
