Andrew Cherry and Winifred Mary Mesney were married in Totnes (GRO ref Dec 1859, Totnes, vol 5b, page 343). I sent for their marriage certificate a week or so ago and when it arrives will post his details. She was born in Westport, County Mayo. Date of baptism in the Church of Ireland Parish of Oughaval was 21 November 1835. Parents were William Mesney (1806-1863) and Mary Lock (1801-1878). William was probably born in Alderney, Mary was born in Sherborne, Dorset. Mary's parents probably were Robert and Jane Lock and if so, Mary was baptised on 6 January 1802 in Sherborne Parish Church.
Winifred's sibs were: Mary Sarah Mesney (1828-1830), Louisa Jane Mesney (1829- ), William Michael Locke Mesney (1831-1884), Walter Alexander Mesney (1835-1836), Robert Locke Mesney (1840-1918), and Walter Alexander Mesney (1840- ).
