Nora Jennings married Archie Owen Roberts Aug 21 of 1900 in Jackson co AR and John S. Cherry signed the affidavid of marriage that stated both her parents were dead. The Nora I have is b. 1880 in Woodlawn, MO with father Benjamin b.1845 MO and mother Anna E. Mitchell Jennings b.1860 KY. I have no death dates for parents or Nora and I do not know what happened to her children, Lola, Ople and Joe. This same Nora has sibs, Mary, Roy, Elizabeth, unknown, Thomas, Pearl and Viola May being born in 1902. If this is correct than the mom was living....hhhmmmmm. Is there a story out there??? Or do I simply have the wrong Nora? Does anyone know who this John Cherry is and how he is related if he is at all? Need some solid leads plz and Thanks. GLO
A new look for the US GenWeb ,you can find Cherry's in every State.
http://www.usgenweb.org/
You can see the State links to find ancestors in the sidebar, but there are interesting articles on Nicknames, finding a Maiden Name, foreign names under
http://www.usgenweb.org/research/index.shtml
There are also links to Census Records and Projects under different headings. Its worth a look and a bookmark,
Best regards,
Gaila

Hi Valleri
Nice to hear from you. I don't have a lot of information about the Wilkinson Cherry's, but if you check the archives of this board and the Cherry list for Wilkinson County Georgia Cherry's by putting Wilkinson in the search box, you will find many researcher's from that branch.
Good luck,
Gaila

Gaila, Nice to see you again :) Do you know anything else about the William Cherry from Wilkinson County GA? He ties into my Busby line. I think he also married Martha Collins, but I'm not certain.

I think I may be connected to this line of Cherrys. My ancestor Mary Etta Cherry B. 1836 in Ohio raised some of her family in Whiteside County. They were James E. Dolson, Elanor Dolson, Mary Kate Dolson and Amy Cornelia Dolson. Please let me know if there were any other Cherrys that might directly link to my Mary that were living in Whiteside at that particular time (1860-1870s). Having trouble locating information on this side so any information would be helpful.
