Hi John H. Cherry - Sorry to be so late in responding to your letter. I
surely am sorry to hear about the health problems you and your wife have
been having. I know my date to renew is April so I will be sending you a
check. I don't expect a refund or anything. I just hope you will be able
to continue or get someone else to do the newsletter. You have done an
unbelievable amount of work for all of us and done it exceptionally well. I
thank you for your expert skill in searching for our ancestors and I'm
sending my best wishes for good health to you and your wife. Fond regards,
Sally Hull Wiebe.

Any information y'all have on Jobie's family would be much appreicated. I have found a lot of information on Aunt Estha's family (Barnett) if you are interested.
Thanks again,

This is really confusing. My grandfather, John Holland Cherry, son of
Ezekiel Cherry and Martha Keene Cherry b August 28, 1846 in Marengo county,
Alabama, married May 17, 1881 in Carthage, Texas and died March 02, 1906 in
Kerens, Texas (whitch is in Navarro county) His wife's name was Helen
Theodocia Johnson. His other wife was Ann Ely Wall Johnson. I don't know
anything about Charles R Cherry. The Joshua Cherry I have was born February
05,1769 in Martin county NC and married Martha Keene. Children of Joshua
and Martha were;
Ezekiel Cherry b September 06, 1792 in Sumner county, Tenn. d.Dec 05 1854 in
Mansfield, LA
Jarred W Cherry b May 26, 1796 in Tenn. d July 23, 1871 in Sumpter county,
Alabama
Robert Cherry b. Tenn
Elizabeth Cherry b Abt 1797, Bedford, Tenn, d. Sumner, Tenn
Margaret Cherry
------
What makes really confusing is the same names but different dates and all
related There are Ezekiels and Jarred/Jarret Cherry's whitch really
complicates things. I had trouble copying all of this information the first
time. I was fortunate to have a relative(old maid school teacher) who did
all the research. This was before computers were born. The above are some
of these records.
Let me know what you think

Larry, I suppose John H.Cherry who lives in Nacogdoches, TX - cherryj(a)gte.net
will be giving you some information on this family.
John has been producing the Cherry Cousins' Clearinghouse newsletter, but has
had some health problems recently. He has the largest database of family
archives of which I am aware.

I have found my father on the 1901 British Census, finally. It proves that I am who I thought I was, he has been elusive!
1st: William Cherry/Caroline Javis.
2nd: Alfred Cherry SR/Sarah Cook.
3rd: My father, Alfred Cherry JR./ Velma Clayton.
They were in the Stopsley Parish of St Thomas, Stopsley, Luton, Bedford, Bedfordshire. (I believe that is written correctly.) And were living at Laurel Cottage, Park Rd. I've done searches for this place and have come up with nothing. Does anyone have anything on these people?
Thanks, Wes
Any Cherry descendants now living in Clay or Jackson Counties, TN? Searching
for those of Lemuel Cherry, and especially the ones intermarried with the
Pennington and Boone families. Heritage Festival on April 25-27 in
Tompkinsville, Monroe Co., KY is a time when we as descendants will be
meeting, enjoying the genealogy exchange, arts, crafts of pioneer times, and
worship at the Old Mulkey Meetinghouse in the state park.
I would like to hear from you and include any descendants or family members
in the dedication of the memorial marker to Hannah Boone & her husband,
Richard Pennington on the afternoon of April 26. Isaiah Crouch Pennington,
grandson of Hannah Boone, married Louisa Minerva Cherry.
