Thanks- Do you have a DOB for that James Cherry?(the brother of John Darling Cherry) My James was born abt. 1791- so they could be brothers. I know he was married to a Bertha or Rutha and they had 9 children, one of which was James Wilson Cherry, my g-g-g-grandfather.
This sounds like something the census would help. I can't tell if you
mean that Fred Cherry was Carrie Paulk Cherry's spouse or father. 1920
and earlier censuses are available now, the 1930 census will be available
in April, 2002. If you don't know the names of the parents you can scan
through all of the entries with the surname you're looking for until you
find a child of the right name and age. For more information on the
census, check with your local public or LDS library or look under census
on Cyndi's list (www.cyndislist.com).

Hello
There is a bad virus doing the rounds. Do not open any attachments, and I recommend a good Anti virus program. It will collect unread messages and send out virus laden email with that persons name on it, so it isn't the person whose name is on the email that has the virus necessarily.
RE: BADTRANS virus---click onto the following site for
some very good information.

I have quickly scanned my records and haven't found it yet, but I believe there was a John Cherry who wed a Rachel Derrickson in Shelby Co. IN. If this sounds right, I can share a lot of info on the family.
The first Cherry I see in Houston County, Ga is Frederick Cherry in the 1830
census. In the 1840's 1850's other Cherry's include my William, Riley and
Spencer. They seem to be connected but there is no proof.
