Hello
I wanted to let you all know that when someone adds a query or Bible record
or will to a Cherry Gen Connect board that it will automatically come to the
list. Hopefully, we will all find a brickwall crumbling down with this
advance from Rootsweb.
It also mean we should all go through our material and post it, so we can
spark a connection.
Recently through a genealogy query (of a cousin), a brick wall came down and
we added two new families to our family tree. It was also not even a name or
connection that we we had an inkling of, making it an amazing find.
Good luck everyone, remember to post your wills, deeds, queries
Think about working in small groups on the lists together if you go back to
the same branch,
Good hunting

Hello,
I am interested to hear from anyone with ancestors who came from Thame,
Oxford Eng.
Would also like to hear from any descendents of William Cherry, b. c
1870-1880 in London, Eng.
He then emigrated to N Zealand, sometime after 1918. Unfortunately, that is
all the information I have at present.

Surname: Cherry, Heard
-------------------------
William Cherry born 1804 in NC, lived in Wilkinson Co, Ga and then in Houston
and Bibb Counties. William married Edney Perrin Heard in Bibb Co, Ga in
1842. He died in 1863.
Who were his parents? We believe Riley and Spencer were two of his brothers.
Was he related to other
Cherry families from Bibb County? Also interested in Wilkinson Co, Ga and
Washington Co, Ga Cherry families, as these three brothers lived there
before their move to Houston County,Ga
Willing to share information, Thanks

According to "Pioneers of Old Frederick Co. VA. by Cecil O'Dell 1995
-Wallsworth Publishing Co, Marceline, MO., a Thomas CHERRY was in the
Monocacy Hundred in 1733/34 in Maryland (noted inTracey and Dern's
"Pioneers of Old Monocacy, pg. 368). Property is identified as - at
mouth of Licking Creek and Potomac River.
Thomas later (1737) purchased Potomac River front land in old Frederick
Co. VA. at mouth of present day Cherry Run. He and his children added to
these holdings later.
Thomas CHERRY was reportedly a son of Edward and Alice CHERRY of County
Antrim, Ireland who immigrated about 1737, preceding them to America,
possibly in 1732/33.
Does anyone's record collection show dates, ships or points of departure
and landing in America for these people?
Thank you for any help on this...
