Obituary: Emilla Clymer was born in Pike Co. Ohio 30 Oct 1823, joined the
Brethren church at an early age, was married to Samuel Clymer 31 Dec 1844,
was left a widow with 5 children 1 Sept 1853 4 whom are still living. They
came to Morris Co 1866 at which place she resided until 1884 when she went
to Clements ,Chase, KS to reside with her youngest child Mrs John Horner, at
which place she passed away 2 Jan 1901. Grandma Clymer, as she was
familiarity called, was spry for one of her years and beloved by all but
that dread disease pneumonia took her away. She had just returned from a
visit to her son Albert Clymer of Kelso ,Morris, KS, and daughter Mrs Mary
Edwards of White City, Morris, KS. Her children were all at her bed side
when she passed away, except Paoil Clymer of Liberal KS, he arrived in time
for funeral service. She was laid to rest in the Clements cemetery by the
side of her daughter Mrs Perry Randebugh.
