Looking for information on William Chenault born about 1828 in Virgina.
William is listed in the 1850 Texas Census in Dallas County with his wife Ruth A., born abt 1830 in TN.
Interested in any information about how William is connected to the rest of the Chenault family.
Does anyone have a copy of the 1992 Red Book that might have William listed?
Thanks in advance for your help.

-------------------------
CHARLES V. CHENAULT, 80, died Friday, May 4, 2001 in Fort Worth.Memorial
service: 10:00 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Garden Chapel. Memorials: In lieu
of flowers, please send contributions to the American Heart Association.
Charles V. Chenault was born August 14, 1920 in Wichita Falls. Charles
grew up in Wichita Falls and graduated from Wichita Falls High School in
1937. He attended Midwestern University, before going on to Texas Tech
University in Lubbock in 1939.
After two years of studying mechanical engineering, he went to work for
the Martin Marietta Company in Baltimore as a junior engineer designing
mechanical parts for navy aircraft. He stayed with Martin for 15 months
before volunteering as an aviation cadet after war was declared against
the Axis Powers. In 1942, the Army Air Corps sent him to the California
Institute of Technology, where he completed one year of graduate studies
in meteorology to prepare him for service overseas. Mr. Chenault served
in France, Germany, and Austria with the Ninth Air Force for 26 months.
11 months were in the First and Third Army combat zones as commander of
a mobile weather station. His squadron received the Meritorious Service
Unit plaque for superior performance of duty in connection with both land
and unit operations during the Normandy Invasion. In 1946, he was discharged
with the rank of Captain. After a brief stint with Cessna Aircraft in Wichita,
Kan., he returned to Texas Tech and received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical
Engineering in June of 1947.
That same year, he married Nancy Cross and they moved to Houston where
he worked for Wyatt C. Hedrick as a junior engineer. Later he moved to
the Houston architectural firm of Herbert Voelcker and Associates, where
he designed heating and air conditioning systems and became a partner.
In 1960, he founded Chenault Engineering Company, which was a new consulting
engineering firm to provide design services in air-conditioning, electrical,
acoustical and other technical fields. This firm converted many Houston
area public schools to air conditioning. After several years, developers
of large office buildings became direct clients and from these sources,
came all the mechanical and electrical design work for the Houston Galleria
complex and the 50 story One Shell Plaza in downtown Houston. Many other
projects followed in Houston, New Orleans, Philadelphia and Saudi Arabia.
By 1974, the company had designed thirty million square feet of office
buildings. In 1972, the company merged with the publicly held company,
Diversified Design Disciplines, Inc. In 1976, Charles founded another company
named Chenault & Associates. Later the company was moved to Austin where
he retired in 1987.
Charles loved his family and taught his three children (Charles Thomas,
Susan, and Jan) the meaning of integrity and fairness and to strive to
do their best. He was loved by many and respected by everyone who came
in contact with him. The family would like to thank Trinity Terrace for
all their kindness, compassion and professionalism during his stay there.
Survivors: Wife, of fifty-three years; his son, daughters, and four grandsons;
and many other friends and relatives.
