I am looking for anyone who might have a copy of the will left by Colonel
Lawrence Smith (1685-27 Feb 1739) who married Midlred Cheesmen and Mildred
Reade.
I am specifically interested in any children that Lawrence and Mildred
Cheesman may have had. I know about the proven line to their son Edmund, but
I have seen several references to another child, Frances Chisman Smith. She
is suppose to have married a Matthew Wills. From that marriage they had a
son named Elias Wills who was suppose to have married an Elizabeth (Dancy?).
They had a child Fanny Chisman Wills who married Lt. James Cole.
I have another complete line for Fanny Chisman Wills, but the line above is
very intriguing. If anyone has any sources or other information on this
Virginia Smith line, please drop me a line. I would be very interested in
finding out where this lineage came from and the support for it (even if it
isn't correct).
Many thanks for the bandwidth and for any help in advance.
Warm genealogical regard and holiday greetings,
Larry
