Welcome, Janice !
I am going on vacation tomorrow so am submitting "my Cheesemans' early.
I am looking for place of death of my gr grandfather, William Cheeseman, who
lived along the Ohio R all of his life and died sometime after 1938. He
lived and worked on Buckleys Island for a time and in Wellsville and
Marietta. He was born in 1861.
Also searching for any info on Henry Cheeseman, born 1811 in VA and died
after census of 1900 was taken. He was living with William and Catharine
Longfellow Cheeseman in Washington Co. Ohio. ( This William being father of
the above William)
My third Cheeseman is Elijah, who lived in Jefferson Co Ohio and married
Elizabeth Chamberlin.
They also had a son William. Elijah and two of his children died in 1852
and buried Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell. Can anyone tie into these families?
Spelling of the name varies from time to time.
I just adopted this list because my family from England used a variant
of this when in England.he later lived in Mass.he married an,died in
that state.I would like to call a Roll call for Fiday August 11th all
day.thanks.Janice Mullally
