I am seeking information about my ancestor, Elijah CHEESEMAN who was born
ab. 1804 in VA and married Elizabeth Chamberlin/Chamblin(b. ab.1815) in
Jefferson Co.,Ohio, 1831
Children were William, Elizabeth, Elijah, Malinda, Alsira(Alzora), and Nancy
F.
Young Elizabeth and her brother, Elijah, are buried at Greenlawn Cemetery,
Lowell, Ohio. They died as children.
I especially need info on parents of Elijah and his wife Elizabeth.
Also looking for place of death of Elijahs grandson, William E Cheeseman,
who died 1937 or later. Worked on Buckley's Island in the Ohio R., and lived
in Marietta, and Wellsburg, Ohio.
Thank you.

Hi folks!
I am searching for any information on ancestry of ELIJAH Cheesman of
Jefferson and Washington County Ohio.
Elijah born about 1804 and died between 1850-1860, Ohio. He married
Elizabeth Chamberlin/Chamblin 2/5/1831 . They were living in Portland, Ohio,
a short distance below Steubenville (now Brilliant) in 1840. In 1850 Elijah
and wife were in Washington County, Ohio w children William, Elizabeth,
Elijah, Malinda, Alsira (Alzora) and Julia F.
In 1860 Elizabeth and some of the children were living in Lyman Hall
household.
I have also been searching for place of death of WILLIAM Cheeseman/Cheesman,
grandson of Elijah, ( Elijah, William, and William) who lived in Marietta
and worked on Buckley's Island on the Ohio River. He appears in family
picture in Maine in 1937 and then disappears.
I suspect place of death would be Ohio or West Virginia but am not sure.
Can anyone help me with ancestors of Elijah or place of death for William?
Thank you,
Linda Hadley
