Hello Linda,
So glad to hear from you. Our Cheeseman (Chessman, Cheasman,Cheelsman) ancestor has led us a merry chase. It was the name and the states you show that caught my attention.
Our William H. Cheeseman was born about 1845-46 in Philadelphia Co.,PA. He fought in the Civil War, married Sophia at Harper's Ferry, and after the war lived in W.Va., Va., Md. and D.C. He is buried with family in Baltimore Cem.
Does this sound familiar? If so, which of his children
are you descended from ?
Regards, Joan
