I found a marriage record on Ancestry.com:
Cheeseman, John - b
Cross, Hephzebah - s
T. St My. Whitechpl 1825
Looks to be my relatives - my info.
John Cheesman to Hephzibah in England abt 1825/1826
son- Charles Warton Cheesman b 15 Dec 1827 in Leeds, Kent, England (date & place per obit & tombstone)
son- John Manger Cheesman b 10 Aug 1829 England (dates & place per tombstone)
dau - Elizabeth Cheesman b 18 Apr 1835 Galt, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada (county record)
Elizabeth Cheesman m Phineas Aranthus Danforth 7 Oct 1852 in Galt, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
Their 7th child was named: Hephzibah Cross Danforth. (Looks to be named after her grandmother).
No Christening dates are located, to date, for Charles Warton Cheesman or John Manger Cheesman. Nothing at this time to confirm nee Cross.
Does this look to be a fit because of grand-daughter's name and birth of first child two years after marriage? What does T. St My. Whitechpl stand for?
Do you recognize any of the Cheesman/Cheeseman names?
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Noi Lani Deem
