Sorry this took so long I have not looked at this in a couple of years now and had to find it.
I am related to all the Cheeseman's in Newfoundland because of a double Cheeseman marrage of distant Cheeseman cousins and the Power Family of Marystown.
My grandmother and my Great Grandmother married a John Joesph Cheeseman and a Micheal Cheeseman.
My Great Grandmother was the School Teacher there in Rushoon.
In Marystown the Power Family House was at were the Post Office is today.
Jerome Walsh, Mayor of Marystown is a distant cousin.
My Grandparents and my father left Newfoundland for the U.S.A. in 1929.
I am not into the family research now because of my work but if you have any questions it would be better to write to me by snail mail, Bob Cheeseman 40 Somerville Street Marshfield, Ma 02050 U.S.A. or at smokeycheeseman(a)aol.com
I have a Margaret Cheeseman b.June 1886 Rushoon, Parents Charles Cheeseman & Rosanna Walsh
Margaret Cheeseman married a John Walsh Nov. 23, 1904 Rushoon.
John Walsh was b. Aug. 1881 Marystown.

I too have a Cheeseman connection with Kent, England. My ggg-grandfather was John Cheeseman, b. abt. 1818 in Kent. He married Betsey Mason, b. Jan 1819, of Norfolk, England. They had 2 sons in England, William J. and Robert. All emmigrated to USA about 1848 and settled in Franklin County, Ohio.
Does any of this fit with any of your Cheesemans?

Hi, I have Margaret Cheeseman b about 1880 in Rushnoon, NF married to John Patrick Walsh. They had 13 children, many who remained in Newfoundland.
Would love to see if we connect. I do not know Margaret's parents names.

I have recently subscribed to this list having found a CHEESEMAN
member of my family on a list of servicemen who served in WW2 in the
RAAF.
Amongst many letters photos that my mother(died 1965) had kept, are
some from her Uncle Revd. Henry Cheeseman, his wife Louisa Ada
Cheeseman nee Laurence and their son Arthur Cheeseman, father of Roland
Arthur Laurence Cheeseman who is listed in the above service record.
All these are dated 1900-1906.
I have since traced the Laurence family back to 1640 but I have often
wondered if I could ever find any descendants of the CHEESEMAN family
to share with them the information and photographs I possess.
I am really hoping this email will achieve some results and I suggest
any replies are posted to me off list.
