Hello,
I am looking for information about Richard Cheesman. I do not know his date of birth, but it does state on his marriage certificate that he was "of full age". I also know that his Father was called John Cheesman.
Richard Cheesman married Ellen Barton on the 6th Nov 1858 at the Parish Church in Hadlow, Kent, England.
I know definately know that they had one daughter, Sarah Ann, born 15 Oct 1860. I have been able to find Sarah on the 1881 census, she was employed at Dry Hill Park House, Tonbridge, Kent. I have been unable to find the rest of the family.
Any information welcome.
Thanks Rebecca

Hi-Not sure if this will help or not, but maybe something to work with?? From an article about the EVANS family in Evan's Mills, Jefferson Co.NY.
"Anson CHEESEMAN, born in 1781, was employed by LeRay to construct the mills on the Indian river and it was in his log home in Theresa that the first religious services of the community were held. In the old cemetary at Theresa, near the entrance gate, one finds his monument which tells that "Anson CHEESEMAN died Sep 24, 1859, aged 78 yrs 3mos.3days" His wife lived to be 93. Five of the CHEESEMAN's became ministers in the Methodist church as local preachers or connected with the annual conference"
So maybe the Methodist churches as a place to start??Good luck.
