Hi Listers,
I wonder if there is anyone out there that can help me. I have scoured the FRC, I have searched the census records etc and I still can't find my Ada!!
I am looking for Ada Amelia CHEESEMAN. I am not sure where she was born but she married Alfred W ROSE. They possibly married in Dorking, Surrey, but I can't find a trace of their marriage. They would have been married approx 1891 or before as they had 14 children, the youngest being born in 1911.
I have looked for my grandfathers birth entry their youngest) with no success, so I can't check her name on that. I have his christening record that states his mother as Ada, but we all know how people change their names!!
I may have found Alfred and "Ada" in the 1891 census but the name there is "Emily A".
If anyone can throw an light on the missing Ada I would love to hear from them.
Regards,
Caroline
