My Grandmother "Sadie Cheeseman" and I are looking for information on her fathers relatives. Her fathers name is "Vernon Cheeseman" he was married to Marie Waites, and besides my grandmother had many children (all names not known). She believes many of the family still live in the Mt. Orab area in Ohio. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Sadie was born in USA. I'm not sure where though. Possibly in Ohio. She said they have all lived in Ohio for quite some time.

Was your Sadie Cheeseman born in the USA? If by any chance she was born in Wales, could be my Dad's cousin. (Sadie not seeming that common a name.)

Branden, I found three Vernon Chees(e)mans of the late 19th century. They are:
Vernon Cheeman, born 18 MAY 1880, Nobelsville, Indiana, son of Hamilton and Stella (McCole) Cheesman;
Vernon L. Cheeseman, born 19 SEP 1891, Montana;
and, Vernon Cheesman, born 1895, Mt. Orab, Ohio.
Does one of these sound like the man your looking for?
Dave

I recently decided on tracing my GGrandfathers (Vernon Cheeseman) family. My grandma (Sadie Cheeseman Willard) claims they had lived in Ohio for a very long time. Vernon Cheeseman was married to Marie Waites who died back in 1979 or 1980. Thaey had a daugter named Sadie, a son named Jimmy, along with many other children who I'm not sure of. Not much is known so any info would help!
