I have not found out a great deal more about the Cheesman family. My Nanna said that they were a very big family. There were 2 sisters, who had an Oyster bar in Brighton(I dont know if they were Sidneys sisters or other relatives). My nanna, said that one of the family married a doctor, and one emigrated to Australia. However she thinks that the family originated from Wicklow in Ireland( but again we dont know when). I am still trying to find out information, but may be able to retreive more info when I get in touch with other distant realtives.I am sorry that I cannot help further but if I find out anything I will post a reply

It has always been a mystery for our family about my Great Grandfather Fresn's three wives. I just figured out, or at least I THINK, that two of those wives are the same person. I think Annie Cheeseman and Anna Dominy are one in the same.
Archibold/Archibald/Archie Thomas Fresn(e) (Divorced) married Annie Cheeseman (Widow) daughter of Gilbert Dominy and Helen Dawson on April 15,1912 in Hartford Connecticut. They were married by George O. Brott, a Justice of the Peace.
Knowing my family's history, the names could be different, it could have not even been a legal marriage! My Grandfather Gilbert Fresn was born in 1915 and we're unsure where. Archie and Annie could have returned to Vermont, where my Great Grandfather was born or moved to New York where I was born and my Father was born.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
