Thanks. I doubt he is the first one you listed as the wife does not match and I believe since she grew up in Logan County and they lived in Logan County, then they probably married in WV. The second one you listed seems a bit young, but I will look into it.
I've also searched the 1900 census for Arthur as a boy (I'd expect him to be about 10 or so) but cannot find him in OH,. KY, or WV under Cheeseman, Cheesman, or Chessman.
I have been told that the boy, Roy L, listed on the 1920 census, died within the next decade. I am looking for verification of that. Do you have any info on the boy, Charles, born about 1919?
I would be very interested in meeting Charles' descendents as well as finding Arthur's parents/ancestors!
Thanks again!
LuAnne

There was an Arthur Cheesman (aka Chessman) born circa 1892, in Ohio, who married Lula Bobbitt (1894-1981) about 1915, Ohio.
Also, an Arthur C. Chessman, born 21 FEB 1896, Ohio, who died 21 DEC 1953 in California, and was buried at Golden Gate National Cemetery.

I am trying to locate info on the family of Arthur Cheeseman (born abt 1890), living in Logan County, WV in 1920, working in the mines. He is listed in the Logan census as follows: Arthur Cheeseman age 30 born OH; Minie age 19 born KY; Roy L age 2 yr 9 mos; Charles age 7 months.
It is my understanding that he moved back to OH, but from there I lose the trail. Any information greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your e-mail query, Dwayne.
Harry Cheesesman / Cheesman of New York who settled in Wyoming really sounds familiar, but I can't seem to immediately pinpoint him at this time.
There was a Harris E. "Harry" Cheeseman living in Desert Park County, Wyoming in the 1890's through WWI era in my files.
Can you provide more information about him?
Dave

I am looking for the parents of Harry Cheeseman. He was born in New York State in 1857, but migrated West in the late 1800's and finally settled in Meeteese, Wyoming. His wife was Belle Lusk from Indiana
