Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Greetings from Toronto, Canada.
I am seeking to make contact with any descendant or researcher of the family
of my cousin, William CHISMAN.
William CHISMAN, was baptized in East Knoyle, Wilts, on June 7th., 1810.
William was enumerated in the East Knoyle 1841 census as a farmer. In Q2 of
1842, in Tisbury district, (BMD ref. 8, 646) he married Hannah BROTHERS. In
the 1851 census for Charlton Tything, William CHEESEMAN 41 was a farmer of
646 acres in Standlynch, Wilts, enumerated with Hannah 36 and Frances 4; in
the 1861 census, William 51 was a farmer of 815 acres in Upavon, living with
Hannah 46, Jas G. 16, William F. 8, with Emma Brothers 30 a governess; for
the 1871 census, William 61, widower, was a farmer in Upavon Farm House,
living with two unmarried sons, James J. 26 and William 18, with Catherine
Brothers 45 a visitor and housekeeper; William's death, aged 63, was
registered in Pewsey district in Q2 of 1873 (BMD ref: 5a / 94); William
and Hannah had three known children:
1. George James CHISMAN, born in Standlynch in Q1 of 1845, bapt. in
Downton, Wilts, on Feb. 7th., 1845 (source BVRI-2). In Q3 of 1878, in
Pewsey district (BMD ref. 5a 263) James George CHISMAN married Emma Hales
SANDERSON, who was born, c 1848, in Goodrich, Hereford; in the 1881, 1891
and 1901 censuses, James G. and Emma H. CHISMAN were farming in Upavon,
Wilts; Emma 54 died in Pewsey district in Q3 of 1901 (BMD ref: 5a / 81);
James and Emma had issue.
2. & 3. Two other known children, Frances Elizabeth and William Francis
Hamilton were born in Standlynch and died without issue.
