Hi Folks,
Greetings from Toronto, Canada.
Louisa CHISMAN (c1846 - >1901) was born in Stockton, Wilts, a daughter of John CHISMAN and Louisa KNIGHT who farmed in Stockton and, later, Codford St. Peter, Wilts.
About 1878, exact date and location unknown, Louisa married Joseph DEAN, farmer, who was born in Imber. Joseph and Louisa lived and farmed in Chitterne All Saints, where their three known sons were born:
1. Edgar Wilfred DEAN, born in Imber about 1879; Edgar, 22, single, was living on the family farm in Chitterne for the 1901 census;
2. George Leslie DEAN, born in Chitterne All Saints, about 1880; George 21, single, was living on the family farm in Chitterne for the 1901 census; and
3. Joseph Percy DEAN, born in Chitterne All Saints, about 1882; Joseph 9 was last noted living in the family farm in Chitterne, at the time of the 1891 census.
I have copious ancestral and lateral material for the Chisman side of this family. I am interested in contacting, corresponding with and exchanging research notes with any relation or researcher of this family.
Cheers!
Peter.
