Thought I'd repost my interests - all my CHEESEMAN's seem to originate in a
small village in Kent called Barham starting with William and Elizabeth
marrying 1788.
What I'm really interested in doing is coming forward with the siblings of
my grandmother Clara born 1876. I can trace the following children to 1901
in Petham, Kent but I'd love to find out what happened after that:
Thomas born 1874, George born 1880, Harriett born 1883, James born 1885 and
Elizabeth (Lily) born 1888. Also John born 1869 who was a widower in 1901
with a son John age 5.
I've looked for likely marriages and deaths beyond 1901 but found too many
with common names such as the above! Being Ag labs the family also moved a
lot.

Hi List,
Greetings from Toronto, Canada.
I am descended from the CHEESEMAN / CHEESMAN / CHISMAN family of yeoman and husbandman farmers, who lived in East Knoyle, Wiltshire, England. I would be delighted to correspond, and share genealogical information, with any near or distant cousins.
My CHEESEMAN/ CHEESMAN / CHISMAN ancestral line, principally in East Knoyle, Wiltshire, England, is as follows:
1. Christopher CHEESEMAN senior (c1660 - 1734), husbandman of East Knoyle;
2. Christopher CHEESMAN junior (1704 - 1750), a yeoman farmer of East Knoyle;
3. William CHEESMAN (1732 - 1810), of East Knoyle, who married Mary INGRAM of East Knoyle;
4. James CHISMAN senior, a yeoman farmer of East Knoyle (1775 - 1844), who married Martha SANGER of East Knoyle;
5. James CHISMAN junior, a yeoman farmer (1816 - 1876), who married Ann RUMSEY of West Knoyle, Wilts, and lived in Castle Eaton and Winterbourne Bassett, both in Wilts, England.
6. Elizabeth CHISMAN (1844 - 1876), born in Castle Eaton, Wilts, who married William LAWRENCE, a yeoman farmer, who lived in Pewsey and Normanton, also of Wiltshire, England. William and Elizabeth had three daughters: Amy (b1870), Ada (b 1872) and Mabel Dorothy (b 1876).
I have detailed genealogical information on these Chisman / Cheesman / Cheeseman ancestors and most of their siblings.
Best wishes.
Peter Ferreira, from Toronto, Canada,
born in Salisbury, Wilts.
