Hi Michael, I think your idea is great but before too many people rush in
with long stories about their families I would like to suggest that you set
up some guidelines of how you would like the material presented.
I feel that you should keep it simple - name, date, location, source, etc -
maybe also whether they are definitely connected to the writer's line or
just extracted from another source.
It would in fact be a 'one name study' and if you could make it available
on-line as a searchable database that would be wonderful.
Regards
Margaret Parkes

Hi all:
Update of my CHEESEMAN line as requested.
Originates with William born 1789 in Barham who marries Mary ? from
Bishopbourne. Children are Annie born 1814, Rachel, William, Jane, James,
George, Henry, Harriett, Eliza, Charlotte, Richard and ending with Louisa
born 1831. All in Barham area. Annie is still in Barham, unmarried, in
1881.
William born 1817 is my great great grandfather. He marries Elizabeth Ann
Fuller in 1840 in Barham and their children are at least Ann b. 1841,
William b. 1844 and James b. 1851.
William born 1844 is my great grandfather, and he marries Elizabeth Goodban
in 1866 in Bridge. They go on to have William George b. 1867 Nonnington,
Eliza Ann b. 1868 Whitfield, John Edward b. 1869 Waldershare, Louisa b. 1872
Waldershare, Thomas George b. 1874 Eythorne, Clara (my grandmother) b. 1876
Eythorne, Alice b. 1878 Ash, George b. 1880 Ash, Harriett b. 1883 Ash,
James b. 1885 Ash, and Lily b. 1888 Ash.
By 1901 Clara and Louisa are married, Alice is living away from home.
Thomas, George, James, Harriet and Lily are still there. As is John Edward
who is now a very young widower with a young son John born 1896.
Any possible connections?

Greetings listers
For a number of years now I have administered the Chant-L
where numerious members send in their details for Hatched,
Matched and Dispatched including details of the people
they cannot match them to their immediate lines. Because
of this nearly all members have linked together into
Somerset or Dorset families.
I am suggesting since Cheeseman is so common in London
and surrounding counties that the same be done here.
I would appreciate members listing their respective lines
or sending in details they have in their files of
unconnected families they have details of.
Lets try and se if all Cheeseman families in the region are related?
regards
Michael Cheeseman
