I have a James Robert Cheek in my tree. He is my ggg grandfather. I have him married to Jane Hall. My line is thru his daughter Amy Cheek b 6-28-1853 d 4-29-1907(married James Madison Lambert 2-21-1878). The rumor in my family is that Amy was Cherokee. I have been trying to prove or disprove this rumor for years. I have hit a brick wall on Amy's family. Do you show James having a daughter by this name and have you made any discoveries on the native american heritage?
