Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Gazaway, aka Gasaway, Cheek, b 26 Nov 1810 in Spartanburg Dist, S.C. married Teresa "Tessie" Pike.
Gasaway's son John b 17 Dec 1842 is the brother of my great grandfather, Syvester.
John's son, Gazaway, b 10 Jan 1871 in Marion County, AR married Oma Anne "Mattie" Stonecipher on 11 Sept 1992.
His son, William Arthur, b 9 July 1892, married Clara Belle Trueblood.

We have done the DNA testing for our Cheek family, it has been very helpful.
My Cheek ancestors migrated from Virginia to Knox County, Kentucky about
1808.

Our DNA test is pending, regarding CHEEK line coming from Orange county, NC
in mid 1800s to Clinton county, KY.

Loney Cheek Bowles b.14 Feb 1862. As a newborn, she was left on the door step of a family named Cheek. We believe she may be half Indian. Loney married Cicero R. Bowles, Jr. abt 1865. They moved to Smith Co.Texas about1885. I have a picture of C.R. and Loney as newley weds if anyone is interested. I don't know where to start with this. Can anyone help? Sherrie

I do know that Les Hatfield is a reletive, along with Daisy Hatfield which married Walter Cheek which is my grandfather.
