No, his first wife was a Jones. She was my grandmother's sister. I am not sure if Will was married before that, but he died while married to my grandmother, Alice Martha Jones.

In my research I've found a new relative. Thanks Ellen :)
I am trying to find any information on the Cheek family. My great grandfather was Aurthur William Cheek, he married Clara Trueblood. Aurthur had a sister named Edith, who never married. After my ggrandfather's death Clara moved with her 5 children sister in law and twin sister Claudia to California. I've always been told we were related to Stonciphers. I'm told I'm decended from Gasaway Cheek. Gasaway and his brother married Stonecipher sisters.
I'd like any information I can get. Thanks

My ancestors Moses Evans, Jr. and Martha Jane Floyd were married 07 Oct 1852 in Franklin Parish, LA at the home of
J. H. Cheek. Witnesses: J. H. Cheek and L.M. Villard and
----------Dickerson.
I wonder what the connection may be between the Cheeks and the Evans and Floyds. I am stuck in those two lines, only going back to parents of Moses (Moses Evans, Sr. and wife Catherine Wactor)...and know only the father and possible brother of Martha Jane Floyd (John Floyd, father and brother Miles Floyd.)
Does anyone know relationship of these folks? Thanks,
Doris
