Hello.. I am a Great Great Grandaughter of Ann Cheek, m. Harry Robb in Waynesville, Dewitt Co. IL. They married in the mid 1800's.
I have a picture of Ann and her sister Mary.. Ann just looks like she's Indian..I will have to scan it and send it to you...
I have no information about Ann except that her parents were born in KY.
She has to be some sort of Indian, from what tribe I have no idea. She almost looks Kickapoo.
If my Ann sounds familiar to you please contact me @ www.irvinfamilyx4@verizon.net
Thanks,
Christi

I am looking to what happened to Philip & Sarah CHEEK born Halse & Milverton respectively, married in Milverton in 1802 and I have no death details, along with some of their children......can you help
They may have gone overseas....waht gives rise to this suggestion is that:
Robert, b. 1803 went to Australia in 1849 with his family
Philip, b. 1810 went to USA in 851, his family followed in 1842
John, b. 1812 married Mary in 1836, she died in 1849, and John along with Thomas, John, Mary & Philip just disappear (although son Henry b. 1844 went to USA)
James b. 1818, Maria b. 1821, & Anne b.1823 I can n find no trace...
As some sons went overseas did all the family go in different dierctions in the 1849 - 1860 time frame??? If so, where did they go???
With 2 sons and a grandson definitely emigrating is it unreasonable to expect that Philip & Sarah along with younger children went to another location??? They did not come to Australia or New Zealand, did they go to USA (2 familes Philip & Henry) went to Providence RI, initially or did they go to South Africa or Canada or just disappeared in England????
Your thoughts and comments would be greatly appreciated
Happy researching and best regards
David Cheek - Adelaide - Australia
