Several entries on the Ancestry World Family Tree have Enoch Cheek (1856-1943), who died in KY, as a son of Aaron Wesley Cheek and Lucinda Byrd. Today I received a copy of his death certificate: Commonwealth of Kentucky, State File No. 25731. This certificate gives his parents as John Cheek, born North Carolina and Mary Branick or possible Bravick, born in Kentucky. The information was given by B R Cheek. Birth date - 12 April 1856, death date - 3 Dec 1943. Any ideas?
Does anyone know who this might be ???

My cousin gave me a picture of Hamby Cheek delivering mail and he said his
mother said this was her cousin. Her ancestry goes Rev. D.W.Cheek/Edward W.
Cheek/Edmond R. Cheek and Jeremiah. I found the info below , I found his
papers but I have not found his lineage. I suspect he is in the Milus Cheek
lineage ?..I am very anxious to learn how he is a cousin....Doris O. Sink

Richard,
Yes -- it is the same Hamby Cheek, but still, no one seems to know his
lineage other than the following (and thanks for this info folks) data:
a) The National Cemetery is listed Cheek, Hamby b. 12/14/1896 d. 06/05/1979
US Army Pvt. Res. Houston Texas Plot: BO 1478 bur 6/07/1979
b) He was born Dec 14, 1897, Nacogdoches, Texas His father was Jerry M Cheek
his mother Mary Goodwin. His address was 1809 Lewis Street, Houston Texas
this was about the year of 1939. Now I wonder if he decends from the family
of Milius and M. Emiline Ball Cheek.
