Sorry, I just found your message. My Permelia Cheek was born abt 1790 and was married to John London between 1811 to 1832 in Tn. They had 7 children in that time span. She might have left with her children after 1832. I suspect to Mo., since some of her kids show up there. Does your Permelia fit this puzzle?
Jack London
We have a James Cheek also that we're still trying to find information on .
. . he married my husband's gr-aunt , Elizabeth Anna Langley. Our James was
bornin Meags County, TN and married Elizabeth Anna Langley on 12/24/1889 in
Morgan County. TN. They had several children:
Harvey, Leroy, Lena, Stella and Algie (3/4/1910).
Any help would be much appreciated on our "James Cheek"!
Blessings,
Jan Ross

Make sure the attachment does not contain anything more than a GEDCOM file.
The BADTRANS-A virus is going around.
It may contain a subject line you are familiar with. Some come with the
message SORRY ABOUT YESTERDAY in the subject column.
Open all attachments with caution.

Cheek Lister's, I want everyone to understand that if
your Anti Virus isn't up to date and you get the virus
I will email you and tell you that you need to clean
your computer and will unsub you until you let me know
that you are clean. This is the only way that we can
try to stop it.

Hello, sorry i didn't get back with u right away. The Barnes in the Choctaw census i'm pretty sure are related to my grandfather. I just need to figure out which one. There were suppose to be 18 children. He was believed to be born in 1908. He may be in the 1910-20 census. Also after talking to some Ga relatives. They stay in touch with the Cheeks. It is believed that Mae Francis Cheeks's mother was a Blackfoot Indian. Talk to u soon.

James and Francis married March 14, 1841 in Franklin County, Georgia. Oral history has it that they moved to Tx. Following the death of James, Francis moved back to Acworth, Cobb County, possibly Paulding County Georgia to live near relatives.
