Hi Celeste,
Yes, several years ago I did a mass mailing to the Pebley families listed
in
the phone book for Campbell Co. TN and at another time I did a mailing to
the Linginfelter families listed in east TN. I had a lot of success from
both
of them and was able to add to my family group sheets considerably.

>Hey anyone successfully conducted a mass mailing?
I have attempted to do a mailing to all Matthews in Carthage, NC (28 out of
a population of 2000) to see if I can find any descendants of Jerry
Matthews
and Kate Cheeks. A Jerry and Kate Mathews appeared on the 1880 census for
Carthage Township.
I am interested to find out if anyone has attempted this and how successful
they were.
I would appreciate your comments.

I am researching the Matthews line from my g-great grandfather.
Jerry Matthews married Kate Cheeks (Indian/African American) of NC.
Together they had at least one son Lindo Purnel Matthews born somewhere in
NC on 8/10/1882.
Does this match anything in your research?
