I have just recently started researching my genealogy and have very
little information on some of the surnames. CHEEK is one that I have
very little on. I am hoping that someone out there may be able to help
me link this information. I started out researchin ATWOOD and have
followed the line back to Missouri.
I have Sarah E. ATWOOD b 08/18/1840; d ?; m Edward M. CHEEK probably
before 1858. Their children are
Martha M. CHEEK b about 1858 in MO.; d ?
Amanda A. CHEEK b about 1862 in MO.; d ?
One of these daughters may have been married to James B. SCROGGINS.
The ATWOOD family lived in LaClede and Polk Counties in Missouri. Sara
later remarried a man named OVERCASH probably before 1869 and they had a
son.
Jacob Pharrno Overcash b 02/28/1869; d ?
Does anyone have these names and places in their CHEEK line?

How wonderful! Now, being in GA, I have to wonder if Sarah's WARD
that was Sarah's first husband was not Cherokee also. That is a very
prevalent Cherokee name.
