Cheatham Services Set Wednesday
Services for James Cheatham Jr.,62, of
12500 Blue Sage Road, will be at 2 pm
Wednesday at Hahn-Cook, Street & Draper
Funeral Home with a private entombment
in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
Cheatham died Sunday at Baptist Medical
Ceneter after a short illness.
An Oklahoma City native, Cheatham was the
founder of Cheathams Furniture Manufacturing
Company.
He attended the University of Oklahoma and
was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha social frater-
nity. He was a member of the OU Sooner Club,
the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club, the
Petroleum Club, the Oklahoma City Chamber of
Commerce and the OU Touchdown Club. He was
also a member of the St Luke's United Methodist
Church.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn; a son, Warren,
Excelsior, Minn; two daughters, Mrs Barbara
Stevens, Santa Fe, NM, and Jane Cheatham, of
Oklahoma City; three sisters, Mrs V.E. Schrameck
and Vera Weller, both of Grove, and Mrs Chester
Canode, Moscow, Idaho, and six grandchildren.

James Cheatham Dies at Age of 90
EDMOND - James Cheatham, 90, died Saturday
in Edmond Memorial Hospital. Services are
pending with Baggerely Funeral Home.
Cheatham was born in Newton, Kan., moved to
Guthrie in 1889, to Oklahoma City in 1902
and to Edmond in 1934. He was the owner of
an Oklahoma City insulation and weather-
stripping company. He was a member of the
First Christian Church in Edmond.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian; two sons,
L.T., Edmond, and James jr., 3131 NW 18,
Oklahoma City, and three daughters, Mrs V.E.
Schrameck, Edmond, Mrs O.L. Weller, Grove and
Mrs Vivian Canode, Moscow, Idaho.
