I have acquired the book: Life of Humphrey Chetham, Founder of the Chetham Hospital and Library, Manchester, by the late Francis Robert Raines and Charles W. Sutton, which contains a genealogy of the Chetham Family by Ernest Axon. It was printer for the Chetham Society in 1903. The book begins with Henry de Chetham of Cheetham England. The book identifies him as the owner of property in 1212. It is believed that he was a younger son of the Trafford Family. The book includes several pedigrees for the Chetham family in the Manchester area of England. And although I found the information quite interesting, I am not able to define the relationship between Thomas Cheatham (immigrant) and any of the individuals listed in the pedigrees provided, although I have my theories. Please let me know if you would like for me to share any information provided in the book and if you are able to provide any insight into the ancestry of Thomas Cheathm.
