Thank you. If she is interested in furthering her research, please give her my contact information. I am interested if Luther had any info in Jessie and siblings that he may have left with his family.

donna, Amanda was using my account years ago before she had a computer because this is not my line. I will try to contact her and let her know of this info. I don't think she is researching her line anymore, she got bored with it. But I will try to pass along the info. Thanks for responding.

He was listed on the Arkansas Census with 2 sisters that are issue of Celines first marriage. they are:

I have no information about the family being of American Indian decent. All census info says white family. Jessie Cheatham is rumored to be born in Oklahoma and of American Indian Decent, but, that has yet to be proved by fact of documentation. As I find more I will post to this site as a biography but only with facts that I find documented as historical record.
Please let me know of information out there that I am missing. I have Jessie back to 1910 in Arkansas.
Thank you

I am working on Arkansas Cheathams with Helen and Billie. I found Jessie's draft card. His middle name was Martin. He was married to Mattie Maud Bass. I have them to 1910 for Jessie and 1900 For Mattie. Do you have any further info that I may look at for either one?
Thank you
Donna

I found Jessie's draft card. His middle name was Martin. The confusion over Mattie/Maud is over. Her name was Mattie Maud Bass. I know William Cheatham has been looking into our family also. Hopefully this will help and you may have further info. I am looking for parents/siblings of Jessie and Mattie. I know about Maggie Martin. She was Matties sister. Not having an 1890 Census really puts a damper on research.
