Bill, I am still searching for the parents of Jennie Caroline Cheatham born 1846 in Jefferson Co., GA and died 1883 in Winston Co., MS. She was married to James Pinkney Cagle. Anything new on this?
Thanks,
Frances Davis we71357(a)bellsouth.net
In trying to complete my documentation of the Cheatham line I am unable to locate a date of death proof for Jefferson Davis Chatham June 1911.
Louisiana does not have a death certificate.
A will,bible,land transfer, obit, tombstone,church record,or
funeral record will take a death certificate's place.
I willl pay copy cost and mail cost for anyone willing to share that information.
Thank you and Happy Hunting in 2006.Theresa
Bill,
Haven't done any Cheatham research in a while, but was wondering if anyone
has started a DNA project for the family. If not, it might be worthwhile.

WTCheatham(a)aol.com - I have a large database of Cheathams throughout the
country and chances are pretty good that I will be able to place your
family - Most Cheathams descend from the immigrant Thomas Cheatham who died
1726 in Henrico Co. Va. - Bill Cheatham
