I am trying to find the parents of Mary Cheatham, born 1823 in VA or AL, who married James Trotter around 1840 in AR. Thank you.
Thomas R. Cheatham's father at this time is unknown, tho it may be William
Cheatham. Thomas was adopted at age 11 days by Veazy and Susannah Sammons
Ferrell. They lived in Orange Co NC for years and finally moved to Henry/Benton
Co. Tn via Madison Co Ala (which by the way was where Wm. Cheatham was living
w/his younger children and 4th wife.) So how are we kin. I am decended from
Thomas' son Wm. Carroll Cheatham.
Cathy
I have a Nancy Cheatham born 1771 in Halifax Co., VA and married Ahab Hampton in 1791 in Halifax Co., VA.
Her father is listed as David/Daniel Cheatham. She could be a brother of James. Gaycha Mayhew
